Changes at Mr Porn

Category: Ask Mr Porn — TLA @ 9:35 am

Okay, I may be figuring out what I’m doing. Lol, at least I hope so. The following people should now be able to make a first post on a topic instead of just being able to comment. Just like the old board. Only difference is you have to log in first.

Lynn
Mike at X
Sheep Guy
Richard from Net Verifier lol, (NVR)
Michael
Picman

If your name isn’t on the list signup, make a comment and if I know you I’ll add you so you can make the first post in a subject. Lol, if I don’t know you nothing will change until you have proved yourself.

  1. Richard from NV, Lol, I’m kinda surprised you still read this place. Just wanted to let you know I like the recent changes and my sales are going up slowly but surely.

That’s a good thing. I do have one question for you tho. Do you happen to know the average age of the people who buy ID’s? It’s a marketing question as I wouldn’t market to a younger crowd(under 25) the same way I would to an older crowd(over 35 or 40).

I do know at the slime worm place the demographic for age was slightly over 40 or a bit more.

Lol, RSS feeds and how to add the code to the pages on affiliate sites would also be a good thing. Several differnt genres of video clips wouldn’t be a bad thing. I also wish you’d get an older womans front end or signup page. They are my best sellers by far and it would be easier if there were ggraphics of older women instead of hot young babes in my signup code. ;)

  2. Hi TLA!

Finally got in. Had to jump through a few hoops to re-set my password.

Congratulatons. The new site looks great, good job. I’ll miss the old site format for awhile as it feels like ‘home’ but I’ll get used to navigating this one over time.

Question…I’ve just started a non-adult blog using WordPress and now I learn that I can’t add Google Adsense code to it. Yet, I see Adsense on a lot of WordPress sites, what’s up with that? Anybody know?

  3. Lol, NP, There’s an adsense add on that works nicely. Kontera is also supposed to work but I haven’t put it on a blog yet.

Adsense widget is here. WP Adsense

There’s a good place here to learn more about things you can use for WP http://www.tubetorial.com/7-essential-wordpress-hacks/

  4. Michael, shoot me an email and tell me what your non adult blog is about. I need links to my 5-6 non adult blogs. ;)

  5. This is just a simple two column WP theme I grabbed at wordpress themes. I’ve got some that are widget ready and some that aren’t. Try to find widget ready ones if you can. Much easier to work with as widgets are drag and drop.

I’m trying several different layouts on my non adult stuff but I think two colum will be what I use from here on out.

I’ve got a hack that gets rid of the nofollow stuff in comments too. When I find it I’ll either post the url or put it up somewhere. It’s an easy one and the directions are perfect so it works with no problems. Just be sure to save the hack because when you upgrade you’ll need to redo it. Gotta edit a couple of ,php files and remove a line or word.

Don’t have your email address and can’t seem to find it here. I’m at:

    and the site is:

It’s a two colum page with a widget.

    Thanks, Mike

  7. Hey Michael,

Seeings as to how the SE know it’s there, now for sure, I’d make a home page for them to see until you are 100% ready.

Go to nichebot and find some goo, low competition terms ad fill your home page with them. Then make some posts everydy or a new comment everyday that’s somewhat on topic.

That will get the SE coming daily and keep them happy. After you get established with the SE you can cut back to a couple of posts per week and still keep the same level of SE visits. ;)

You just don’t want it to sit and be stagnant after the SE find it.

  9. Michael, this url has the explicit instructions to remove “nofollow” from comments.

    http://www.douglaskarr.com/2007/10/13/nofollow/

It works really well and is simple to do. Only problem is you have to do it everytime you update your WP to a new version.
