Anyone looking for niches ought to be checking out Nichebot.com. You can find lots of phrases there with little or no competition. MOF, I use it before I make some posts on here.
Obviously the search phrases don’t all get a lot of traffic but for a blog if you can find 3 or 4 phrases with less than 500 for competition you should be able to get 30-40 extra hits per day with that post.
